Our previous BioBlitz events have been a great success and we hope that this will continue this year.Β  We are inviting and encouraging as many people as we can to record as much wildlife as possible. The annual BioBlitz is a very useful snapshot in time that we can compare over time to acknowledge any trends.Β  It also encourages the recording of all wild species, rather than just those that you may be familiar with. A field trip led by Mark Fishwick. Anglezarke Moor is at the Eastern limit of our recording area, and is a SSSI within the West Pennine Moors.Β Β  An important breeding ground for Curlew, and other species at this time of year include Cuckoo, Stonechat, Wheatear and Grasshopper Warbler. A walk led by Paul Brennan. A circular walk through farmland and the Tan House Valley woodland, returning along a stretch of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Meet at the "Lock and Quay" Botany Bay, Chorley, PR6 9AE - 7.00pm-9.00pm.
