Wildlife Photography Competition 2019

Rules

The competition is open to residents of Chorley and District (Local Authority / Parliamentary Boundary) and to all members of Chorley and District Natural History Society, regardless of their postal address.

There are two sections – Open and Junior.

Junior entrants must be 16 or under on 31st October 2019 and must state their date of birth and name of school along with their entry. They must obtain parental or guardian consent to enter.

Photographs entered must have been taken in the Chorley area.

Photographic subjects must be of Wildlife (Animals, Flowers, Fungi etc). Domestic animals and cultivated garden plants are not allowed.

Excessive manipulation of images which alters the truth of the image is not allowed for Wildlife photography. Any photographs showing evidence of such alteration will be disqualified.

A maximum of 3 photographs per entrant are allowed.

Digital photographs only are allowed.

Photographs should be in .jpg format and should not exceed 2Mb in size.

Winning images will be selected by representatives of the Chorley Guardian and/or representatives of the Chorley and District Natural History Society. The decisions of the judges are final.

Maximum image size 2MB,  jpg files only.  Images should be titled eg  Joe Bloggs_Red Deer.jpg

Entries must include your NAME and ADDRESS.

If entering the Junior section, your DATE OF BIRTH and SCHOOL NAME must also be included in the e-mail.

 

Privacy Policy

Photographs entered will be displayed on the Chorley and District Natural History Society Website and may be published in the Chorley Guardian. A presentation of some or all of the submitted images will be made to members and visitors at the December 12th meeting of the Chorley and District Natural History Society.

Personal information including e-mail addresses and postal addresses are necessary only to provide proof of local residence and will not be used for other purposes or shared with other organisations. All such information will be deleted after the competition is ended.
