I went to look at the fungi growing on one of Phil Kirk's front lawns this morning and was delighted to find even more species. There were lots more Snowy Waxcaps (they had appeared in the last 24 hours) and the Earth Tongues were still giving a good show. We also found 4 yellow specimens of Blackening Waxcaps, several Yellow Clubs, 2+ groups of what I initially said were Grey Coral and now looking more closely at the specimen and Phil's excellent photo showing the colour, I think are Beige Coral (Clavulinopsis umbrinella) and what I on site said were White Spindles, I now think are Pointed Club as illustrated in Collin's Guide by Sterry & Hughes.
I have also identified the LBJ from Saturday as a Conecap, probably Conocybe tenera.
Although as a keen gardener I like to see well tended gardens, Phil's 'wilder' and more wildlife friendly garden is much more interesting to a naturalist! As a bonus, 2 Buzzards flew over being mobbed by crows and other birds. Thanks Phil and Joanna for an interesting hour in your garden.

Also a group of at least 3 Goldcrests passed through the garden making a lot of noise.
Phil's got more fungi
