Fungi at White Coppice
I joined Tony Bond of North West fungus Group on survey for Waxcaps at White Coppice again this morning. Still very few waxcaps on cricket pitch - just lots of Meadow Waxcaps, plus Earthy Powdercap and LBJs! Still very dry in woodland by The Goit but in addition to species recorded with U3A last Thursday, we found 1 Fly Agaric (and there were 8 others under a Birch tree on The Lowe by no. 8 lodge) so maybe a 2nd flush; Amethyst Deceivers in usual spot near the wall; Spindle toughshank, etc.
