Posted: Wed Aug 27, 2014 2:17 pm
The development of a scheme to build a flood storage area on the River Yarrow in Eccleston is now in its final stages and, subject to planning permission, work will commence in Spring 2015.
The EA are holding 2 drop in sessions for questions and comments before submitting the planning application.
The sessions are at Croston Methodist Church on Wednesday 3 September and St Mary's Parish Centre, Eccleston on Thursday 4 September both from 2:30 until 8:00.
According the The EA Invitation, they will be displaying updated designs, illustrations and animations of how the proposed scheme will look when it operates. There will also be details of how they plan to limit the effect of disruption caused to the public and environment during construction.
Also, questions or concerns can be emailed to croston@environmentagency.gov.uk
The Project Manager is Neil Forsythe who can be contacted on 01925 542987.
