Windy conditions with cloud building up , 1 mute swan on the douglas , plenty of lapwing around , 5 oystercatcher , not as many whitethroat singing , 1 chiffchaff and 1 willow warbler singing along the railway line , 1 pair of linnet , singing skylark , several yellowhammer and reed bunting , tree sparrows around the feeding station , 1 buzzard hunting over the double hedgerow ( hovering in the wind ) , disturbed a kestrel with a kill,it dropped the vole as it took off, close inspection of the vole showed it was headless .
