Worthwhile evening visit. Pair GC Grebes on No.1 with at least one chick on mother's back. 50+ Mallard across lodges 1, 2 and 3. Single Moorhen on No.2. Grey Herons on 1 and 2. Common Sandpiper on 2. Kingfisher flew across 1 House Martins over Kittiwake Road. 2 Swallows at Causeway House Farm and another 8 around Moody House Farm. 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler and 1 Blackcap calling. At least 6 Magpies marauding.
Flora:- acres of Himalayan Balsam with a few patches of Japanese Knotweed. A field full of Ragwort where cattle used to graze.
