Megachile centuncularis Patchwork leafcutter bee just emerging from chamber hole in a Nurturing Nature beebox -fascinating to watch bringing in rose leaf cuttings, and then off to get a energy drink of purple loosestrife nectar , before off again collecting leaves and/or pollen.




You can see the plugged lowest chamber below the bee -a good six eggs safe behind the end leaf.
