Birds seen/heard - 6+ Kestrel of which at least two were juveniles, 2 Common Buzzard, 2 Yellowhammer, 9 singing Corn Bunting, mixed flock of 30+ Goldfinch and Linnet, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackbird, 2 Reed Bunting, 4 Wren, 1 Robin heard, 2 Magpie, 4 Jackdaw, 10+ Carrion Crow, 50 to 60 Woodpigeon, several LBB and BH Gulls over, 1 Great Black-backed Gull following a tractor cutting hay, 3 Moorhen, 10+ Swallow near to pumping station at White Bridge. Flock of 50+ Swift and Hirundines high up above barns at Sumner Lane/Moss Lane, then drifted soiuth.

Insects - lots of Horseflies, 80+ Peacock Butterflies, 90+ Gatekeeper Butterflies, 20+ White Butterflies (most too far away to tell which species, but at least 2 were Green-veined White)

Flora - Large-flowered Hemp Nettle, Common Fumitory, Knapweed, Rough Hawk's-beard.

Odonata - 1 Brown Hawker and 1 Male Banded Demoiselle.
