Pair of Mute Swan on Bottom Lodge, plus pair Coot with 2 young and 6 Mallard. 25 Mallard on Top Lodge, plus one with 2 chicks. Female Tufted, pair of Coot and single Moorhen also present. 2 or 3 each of Swallow and House Martin hawking over Top Lodge.
Generally, half-hearted snatches of song from Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler, Treecreeper, Goldfinch everywhere, Greenfinch and pair Bullfinch
Butterflies:- Large White, GV White and Meadow Brown
Flora:- fighting to see the light of day through the Himalayan Balsam were Bird's-foot Trefoil, Bush Vetch, Bramble, Purple Loosestrife, Thistle, Hogweed, Stinging Nettle, Angelica and Red Campion - nothing delicate!
