Thursday's evening walk was enjoyed by 11 members, with the following sightings:-

Birds:- Canada Goose 40, Moorhen, Pheasant, Woodpigeon, Jay, Magpie, Jackdaw, Crow, Rook, GS Pecker 3, Swift, Swallow, House Martin, Blue, Great, Coal and LT Tit, Chiffchaff 3s, Whitethroat, Song Thrush (sev), Blackbird, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, House Sparrow, Chaffinch, Goldfinch

Flora:- Spear Thistle, Sow Thistle, Buttercup, Great Hairy Willowherb, Rosebay Willowherb, Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam, Hogweed, Angelica, Cow Parsley, Bramble sp., Red Clover, White Clover, Daisy, Common Spotted Orchid, Red Deadnettle, White Deadnettle, Stinging Nettle, Wall Lettuce, Dandelion, Bush Vetch, Cleevers, Greater Stitchwort, Foxglove, Ragwort, Pineapple Mayweed, Germander Speedwell, Bistort, Red Campion, Hemlock Water Dropwort, Herb Robert, Hedge Bindweed, Evening Primrose, Yellow Loosestrife, Woody Nightshade, Ragged Robin, Marsh Ragwort, Tormentil, Heath Bedstraw, Devil's Bit Scabious, Self-heal, Bird's Foot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Meadowsweet, Wormwood, Yarrow, Marsh Woundwort, Hedge Woundwort, Watermint, Arrowhead

Insects:- Meadow Brown, Cinnabar caterpillars, Red and White-tailed Bumble Bee, Bloodsucker Beetle

Mammals and Amphibians:- Rabbit, Toadlet

Insects - Large White Butterfly, Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly, Micro moth, Horsefly, Common Wasp, Brown Hawker Dragonfly, Greenbottle, Hoverfly Spp.

Fungi etc - Yellow Stainer, Sulphur Tuft, Dog's vomit Slime Mould.

Birds - juvenile Kestrel heard.

Birds-blackcap (2), greenfinch, 6+ swifts over M61 opposite Northgate Drive

Thanks for leading the walk Paul. It included a couple of stretches I knew with some I didn't. An interesting circular with a range of habitats. I think I'll do it again.
