Bioblitz

Hi everyone, here are the results from my bioblitz form my garden in Coppull.

Mammals
2 Hedgehogs, 1 Squirrel, 1 wood mouse and 1 unidentified bat. (Also there has been a fox in the field opposite my house both Saturday and Sunday evening).

Birds
9 Chaffinch, 8 Goldfinch, 5 Greenfinch, 4 Blue tit, 2 Great tit, 3 Coal tit, 2 Carrion Crow, 2 Collared Dove, 2 Woodpigeon, 1 Dunnock, 2 Robin, 2 Magpie, 5 Blackbird, 1 Wren, 8 house sparrows and 14 Starlings.

Amphibians
1 Frog, lots and lots of tadpoles some have now become froglets.

Butterflies
Only 1 butterfly all weekend - a large skipper

Moths
First ever Light Emerald I've recorded in my garden
1 of The Snout
Magpie moths were emerging so there was a lot of them in the garden, highest count was 7.

1 Silver Carpet Moth

Insects
5 Seven spot ladybirds
1 Varied Carpet Beetle
3 Sun-fly
2 marmalade hover fly
1 thick legged hover fly
4 red tailed bumblebee
1 Common carder bee
1 honey bee
2 White tailed bumblebee
1 leafcutter bee
2 common wasps
1 red and black froghopper
1 Azure Damselfly
1 Empis Livida
2 Diving beetles
1 yellow dung fly
1 narcissus bulb fly
2 vine weevil
3 wolf spiders
3 green shield bugs
2 green dock beetles and eggs
3 Deraeocoris favilinea
1 Heteritoma Planicornis

In flower - comfrey, creeping buttercup, white and red clover, birds foot trefoil, daisy, Dandelion, yellow iris, common vetch and foxgloves

Some interesting insects there Gareth, just red-tailed bumble bee and marmalade hoverfly for me this year.

Blackbird 2 + 4 juv
Coal Tit 1
Dunnock 3
Goldcrest heard
Goldfinch4
Great Tit 1
Greenfinch 1
House Sparrow 10 some of which were juv
Magpie 1
Robin 1
Wood Pigeon 4 + 2 juv
BH Gull over
Gull over at distance either Herring or LBB 1
Carrion Crow 1

Cleavers, Dandelion, Dog Violet, Herb Bennett, Meadow Cranesbill, French Cranesbill, Cowslip, Ramsons (just), Stinging Nettle, Bramble, Mare's Tail, Ragwort, Broad-leaved Willowherb. Also unplanted new Goat Willow and Oak. Only insects 4 x red tailed BB and oak galls (empty?) plus single marmalade hoverfly. Others - grey squirrel, hedgehog, field mouse, common toad (singles).

Just missing the cut this evening, long-tailed tit in the tree and juvenile dunnock.
