Pippin Street, Brindle

Post by Neil Southworth »

Late visit for the Breeding Bird Survey of SD 5924 - the early visit was cancelled because of you know what. The bad news was that no Lapwing, Curlew or Oystercatcher was recorded for the first time ever. The good news was that there were plenty of Swallows around the farms and in between. Sightings:- Mallard, Moorhen, Pheasant, BH Gull, LBB Gull, Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Magpie, Jackdaw, Rook, Crow, Swallow, House Martin, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Whitethroat, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Mistle Thrush, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, Starling, House Sparrow, Tree Sparrow, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch. 31 species represents a disappointing return.
