Re: Yarrow Meadows
Pair of Little Grebe with 3 fairly recent young on the lodge this morning. Also Mallard with 8 newly hatched ducklings. Ominously, a Grey Heron was standing on the shoreline. Two or three each of Blackcap and Chiffchaff were singing plus a single Whitethroat and Garden Warbler. Woodpecker calling near the lodge. Dipper on the Yarrow singing briefly.
I only managed a single Chimney Sweeper moth. Must have been looking in the wrong place!

Re: Yarrow Meadows
Great news on the Grebe's. Haven't been by the lodge for a while - gets a bit busy with people. Most of the Chimney Sweepers seen were in a new part of the meadow. Heading south from the picnic benches through the trees, they were in the long grass immediately on the left as you entered the first meadow.
