Croston/mawdesley moss .
Great to see a pair of shelduck with 10 small ducklings on the douglas , a mallard with same amount of ducklings was on the small fishery pond , skylarks , reed bunting and yellowhammers in small numbers , lapwings on both sides of railway , 1 oystercatcher , 2 linnet , flocks of lesser black back gulls ( 100 ) , corvids , woodpigeons / stock doves , starlings ( 100 ) on the open fields , mistle thrushes numbers building up with 10 on one field , 1 female wheatear was a late bird ( had fem lingering into early june a few years ago ) , blackcap , chiffchaff , and several whitethroat , 2 red legged partridge , 1 kestrel , .
