Seventeen walkers (correct me if I'm wrong) enjoyed a breezy, warm session of wildlife spotting led by local expert, Peter Scholes.
Birds -Peter was recording these.
Mammals-rabbits (2); pipistrelle, noctule and Brandts/whiskered bats
Insects-unidentified hawker dragonfly, unidentified large beetle -possible great diving beetle which apparently can leave water to colonise ponds etc.
Common carder BB
Flowering plants -common fleabane, ragwort, meadowsweet, meadow vetchling, common vetch, wormwood, rosebay willlown=herb, broad leaved willowherb, red clover,himalayan balsam, black knapweed, ox-eye daisy, scentless mayweed.
Very incomplete so please add all those missed.
