Eccleston syd brook.

2 pair of teal feeding on the same pond, 3 male mallard chasing one female , 8 redwing , long tailed tit nest is now complete ( its took the birds around 14 days to build the nest going off they were half way there 7 days ago ) .

Eccleston .

At least 6 buzzard enjoying the sun possibly 8 birds , 1 gs pecker , counted 37 curlew over st marys church , had a look over the yarrow for early sand martins but no luck ( plenty of midges flying around if any turn up )

Movement of birds .

With the obvoius movement of cormorants in the area i decided to make a brew and have a watch from the front of my house within in a couple of mintues i,d spotted 2 more cormorants , 2 displaying kestrel and 3 lapwing flying over, i was watching the tele yesterday when they mentioned the earthquake ...

Had a female siskin in yesterday , a pair of bullfinch in today , also a wren turned up the other day.

Just been across the road from the rookery , its certainly very busy with birds flying in every direction with nest material , some birds just swooping down onto the woodland floor and plenty of noise!

3 teal , 1 heron , 1 g s woodpecker , 1 pheasant .
heskin hall area , 2 buzzard , 2 stock dove , flock of 100/200 starlings with a few fieldfare , 1 g s woodpecker drumming , treecreeper , nuthatch , heard tree sparrow , 1 lapwing .

Belmont .

Driving over the moors towards rivington i spotted 3 roe deers running , had a brief look at Belmont res , plenty of gulls on the island and spotted a small group of waders flying over the water ( smallish birds not sure what species ). Put a few pictures on the gallery of the lt tits ( not the best...
