Summer Evening
Walks
The following
summer evening walks commence at 7.00 p.m. at the venue. For
further information, please ring either Joyce Riley on 01257
271289 or the editor on 01257 276065. In the event of bad
weather, please check before setting off.
| Wednesday 12th
May |
Brindle/ Jack Green circular. Meet in Brindle
(SD 599244). Park carefully in Smithy Lane, which is the
left turn after the Cavendish Arms and church as you
drive towards Blackburn on the B5256, through Brindle
village.

| Wednesday 23rd
June |
Pincock, Euxton (SD 555179) A walk along
the River Yarrow, starting and finishing in Pincock Brow,
which is the next right turn after Dawber's Lane as you
travel along the A49 towards Coppull.

| Wednesday 21st
July |
Heskin A figure of 8 walk around the
Eccleston / Heskin countryside, taking in a little bit of
woodland. Park carefully in Tannersmith Lane at the
junction with Halfpenny Lane near to the entrance to
Heskin Old Hall (SD 512155).

| Wednesday 11th
August |
Lower Adlington circular. Meet outside
Methodist church, south of the White Bear pub, on the A6,
Market Street, Adlington (SD 600128)

MILLENIUM
BOOKLET
The committee is
currently producing a booklet to celebrate the 21st
birthday of the Society, which also coincides with the Millenium.
If any members have any material, which they would like to
contribute to the publication, could they please let me have it
by the end of July.
WINTER
PROGRAMME 1999 / 2000
All the above
meetings will be held at The Howard, Whittle Springs and commence
at 7.30 p.m. Visitors are welcome at all the meetings.
